The ground rules for using Proving Ground.
Effective date: October 27, 2026. These terms are an agreement between you and Luke Overmohle d/b/a Proving Ground (ProvingGroundGG), which runs Proving Ground. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
You must be at least 13. If you're under 18, your parent or guardian must agree before your profile goes public. A parent or guardian who gives that consent accepts these terms on the minor's behalf and is responsible for the minor's use of the site.
US only at launch: you must live in the United States to sign up or have a profile.
Under 18: you must give your parent or guardian's email at sign-up. Your account stays private until they consent on guardian.html, and consent counts only when they click the consent button. If no consent arrives within 30 days, the account is deleted. While you're under 18, only your gamertag, a "U18" label, team, achievements, PG Rating, platform and broad region can be public. A tracker link needs separate guardian approval. A guardian can revoke consent at any time (see our Privacy Policy). If they do, the profile is deleted.
Give accurate information and keep it up to date. Each player may have only one player profile. Don't create a profile for, or pretend to be, someone else. Keep your password private; you're responsible for activity on your account.
False age or guardian details: Giving a false date of birth or country, or pretending to be a parent or guardian, breaks these Terms. If we find out, we may remove the profile and account immediately and ban the person. If we learn we have collected information from a child under 13, we delete it promptly. Proving Ground is provided as-is. Rankings and PG Ratings are editorial opinions, not guarantees of skill or results.
Only nominate players in good faith. A nominated player must confirm before any profile is published, and may decline or request removal at any time.
We store the nominator's email. The nominee gets one invite email only, and unconfirmed nominations are deleted automatically after 30 days.
You keep ownership of what you submit, such as bios, clips, highlight links and achievements. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, reproduce and promote that content on Proving Ground and on our social media accounts until you remove it or delete your account. Posts already published on social media may stay up.
You confirm that you own your submissions or have permission to share them, and that they don't break anyone else's rights.
No harassment, impersonation or spam. We may remove submissions that break these rules.
You also must not:
• cheat, or promote cheats, hacks, smurfing or boosting;
• submit false or inflated stats, ranks or results;
• scrape, copy in bulk or harvest data from the site, including by bots;
• harass, groom, pressure or inappropriately contact minors, or ask them for personal information;
• break the law or the rules of any game or platform.
PG Ratings, the Proving Ground 50, rankings and stories are our editorial opinions. Being featured doesn't guarantee tryouts, contracts, sponsorships or earnings. Proving Ground isn't an agent, manager or employer, and we're not part of any deal between players and teams.
The site links to other sites and platforms (such as X, Twitch, YouTube, Discord and tracker sites). We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content or practices. Their own terms apply.
We may suspend or remove any account, profile or submission that breaks these terms, or to protect players. You can delete your account or profile at any time, or ask us to do it.
Takedown timing: When a parent or guardian revokes consent, or a profile is otherwise removed, we take it down from the Proving Ground site within 3 business days and remove it from our own social media posts within 7 days. We can't control copies that others have already shared or saved.
THE SITE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE OR SECURE.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LUKE OVERMOHLE D/B/A PROVING GROUND AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES AND PARTNERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, OPPORTUNITIES, DATA OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF $100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THESE LIMITS, SO THEY MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
You agree to defend and hold harmless Luke Overmohle d/b/a Proving Ground (ProvingGroundGG) from claims, damages and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your use of the site, or your breaking these terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Warren County, Kentucky.
